How Repigo Suggests Your Next Training Weight

Repigo uses your recorded sets and reps to suggest weight increases you can review before starting your next session. Here is what qualifies, how to choose increases, and where to adjust the settings.

Key Takeaways

  • Suggestions use successful recorded sets and reps against the planned targets.
  • Review each increase before starting; accepting it applies to the current session.
  • Equipment increments and a configurable age window determine which suggestions can appear.

What Triggers A Suggestion?

A suggestion starts with the targets in your workout. Your latest recorded session for a qualifying exercise must complete every planned set and rep at or above the applicable planned weight. For example, if your plan calls for 3 × 8 at 60 kg and you complete those targets, Repigo can suggest 62.5 kg next time when the configured increment is 2.5 kg. Completing a workout alone does not guarantee a suggestion.

Review Before Starting

Open the workout preview and review Weight Increases before you tap Start. You can compare the current and suggested weights, choose individual increases, select all suggestions, or keep your current weights. Accepted increases are used in the session you start. They do not immediately rewrite the saved workout template. Choose the increases that suit today’s session.

Set Increases By Equipment

In Settings, open Weight Suggestions. The main switch controls the feature, while equipment settings let you enable categories and set their increments. Supported categories include barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, machines, cables, plates, other equipment, and added weight for bodyweight exercises. Dumbbell increments apply per dumbbell. Fixed-weight exercises, resistance bands, and static holds do not receive these suggestions.

Choose A Suggestion Window

By default, the qualifying session must be within the last 14 days. Change Suggestion Window to a value from 1 to 30 days if a different range suits your routine. Enable Include Older Workouts to let earlier successful sessions qualify regardless of age.

Why A Suggestion Might Not Appear

Check whether Weight Suggestions and the relevant equipment category are enabled. Then check the latest session: were all planned sets and reps completed at or above the planned weight, and is that session inside your selected window? Unsupported or fixed-weight exercises will not show an increase. The absence of a suggestion is a reason to review those details, rather than a judgement of your training.

Keep Your Training History Useful

Record the weights and reps you actually complete. Accurate logs give you a useful basis for the next workout, and Exercise History lets you review the sessions behind a suggestion. You remain in control of what to use when you start.
